Abstract
Information
Technology (IT) has become a major part of globalization. From health care to education IT is making a
huge impact on people’s lives across the world.
Information technology (IT) is
becoming a predominant part of modern health care across the world. It is enhancing the capacity for medical
professionsals to transmit detailed patient data to medical labs and other
public health centers in many countries including the U.S. New technologies are also helping to provide
health care to patients in countries where there is a lack of medical resources. In Uganda for example doctors caring for Ebola
patients are using digital records to study the health interventions success rate. These digital records along with digital
photos taken by medical professionals are being sent to the World Health
Organization in Geneva and U.S. Centers for Disease Control to be studied in
hope to finding a cure that can save millions of lives.
IT is also effecting education
across the world. It is particularly
invaluable to low income students in developing countries. Distance learning courses are creating new
educated leaders in these developing countries whether it be in social welfare,
economics, or political fields each year.
Having leaders who understand the value of an education will greatly strengthen
these countries and keep the citizens of these countries moving forward. Distance learning and other information technologies
are also giving doctors, scientists, and other professionals access to cheap
journals and other updated professional publications that are hard to come by
and too expensive in these countries.
Having the latest information is extremely important to developing
counties to insure that these countries progress and flourish.
Here is America we can sometimes
take for granted all the technology we have access to on a daily bases. We seldom think of how important apps and
other information technologies are across the world. These new technologies are closing the gap
between first world and third world at a very fast pace. Developing countries are moving progressively
forward at a rate that has never been seen before thanks to the new information
technologies. They are also helping to
save lives and broadening the minds of millions of people all around the globe.
